There’s nothing that screams “summer is here!” more than raffia accessories. Along with other natural fibres – just think of linen – raffia has the unique quality of giving any outfit an instant vibe of understated relax.
Charlotte Dellal, the designer of the brand Charlotte Olympia, used raffia in these handmade wedges, aptly called Rapunzel.

Just like the protagonist of the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, who let down her braid so that the prince could climb her tower, a long braid of raffia is the central element of the wedges, whose height is impressive (165 mm, possibly a reference to the tower where Rapunzel was locked?). Black silk serves as a contrasting background and for the ribbons to wrap around the ankles.

They would look awesome in an all-black outfit – boatneck or halter top and pencil skirt – or paired to a colourful printed sundress.
