NO NEED TO GO HEELS

As a woman, I must admit I don’t understand most of women’s obsessions – the desire to stay young and thin possibly forever, for example, or the habit of wearing high heels all the time. I own some high-heeled shoes, of course, but I wear them rarely and, most of all, I don’t pretend they’re comfortable. That’s the worst part: some women look surprised when they see you wear flats and trainers, and even dare to tell you high heels are comfortable. No, they are not, and those who tell you so are liars, just convincing themselves their foot pain is not that bad, after all.

Someone in the designer heaven must have listened to the prayers of flat wearers and realized there’s something else beyond the valley of the high-heel vixens. Among these, Azzedine Alaïa, who has always celebrated the feminine body in all its glory, without punishing it with severe lines, nor showing it off with skimpy dresses.
