I hate summer for many reasons, but there are a few things that make me love it at the same time. Besides popsicles, swimming and sunbathing, wearing no make-up and staying up late, in summer I can wear my favourite shoes – sandals. I love wearing no shoes at home, so I usually opt for barely-there shoes whenever I go out. As a result, wearing sneakers and brogues in autumn is a shock, but in the meantime I enjoy my almost barefoot condition. Brian Atwood probably shares the same passion, judging by his designs, which always aim at emphasizing women’s feet.¬†

Manhattan is the name of these beautiful platform slingback sandals – a good combination of glam (the 40 mm platforms are totally reminiscent of glam rock atmospheres) and sexy (the heels are sky-high – 15o mm!). Besides the front crossing bands, which cover the upper part of the feet, the rest is exposed: if you like wearing high heels but don’t feel like covering the feet too much, these sandals could be a great option. The white and blue floral print on twill give them a proper summery touch: such a vibrant pattern would be lovely if paired to a white broderie anglaise sundress or to a black jersey evening dress.
