Since 1986 exquisite de Gournay, has revived ancient traditions, continuing techniques that began in the 17th century by employing a team of highly skilled artists to paint traditional Chinoiserie, Japanese and Korean and 19th century French Papiers wallpapers. The result is brilliant. The antique wallpapers give life to colourful flora and fauna. A family owned company, De Gournay’s products are still very much influenced by the eclectic tastes and styles of its founder, who continues to travel the world in search of inspiration. Across a wide collection of products the resulting piece of work involves many hours of intricate craftsmanship.
