WE FACE FORWARD

Everything that permit us to use a photo by Malick Sidibé is good at The Harlow. It’s in our personal top ten of artists (please remember that in case we repeat). Here, we would like to “use” him to talk about We Face Forward. Curator Natasha Howes has directed this cultural festival in Manchester dedicated to Art-Music from the African Continent. Withworth Gallery, The Manchester Museum, Band On The Wall, Manchester Art Gallery, The Bridgewater Hall, The Printworks, Gallery of Costume all the city is blooming and embracing the art, culture and creativity of West African artists today. Installations, painting, drawing, photography, textiles, video, sound and fashion, Manchester will be the alternative pole of attraction for those who want to live a different summer and escape from the Olympics.
